Classification: Accounting Manager/Supervisor
Compensation: $110000.00 to $125000.00 yearly
A successful Financial Services organization that will recognize your efforts is working with Robert Half to find a talented Accounting Manager. This role's duties will require leading daily operations, such as preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger system, preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, and assisting with regulatory reporting as applicable. You will succeed in this position if you have the ability to create and monitor the company's accounting and finance operations. Based in the Fort Worth, Texas area, this Accounting Manager position is a terrific opportunity for permanent employment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of GAAP financial statements, including document preparation, data analysis, integrity validation, and reconciliation processes
- Work closely with FP& A and accounting management to create relevant and timely reports on financial data analytics like the monthly flash report, key financial metrics, and actual spend against budgets/outlook
- Assemble various technical accounting policies, procedures, and analyses
- Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable
- Provide regular review and analysis of balance sheets and income statement accounts owned by the Senior Accountant
- Play a key role in system and process design, data migration, testing, training, and go-forward system administration of NetSuite Financials
- Lead and supervise the accounting team performance during the closing process to ensure close deadlines are met

- Demonstrated knowledge of investments
- General familiarity with journal entries
- Background working with consolidations
- Year end closings experience preferred
- Fund accounting experience highly preferred
- Earlier work involving financial reporting
- General ledger experience preferred
- Adeptness in asset backed securities
- Comprehensive knowledge of financial statement preparation
- Practical knowledge of month end closings
- Proficiency in asset management
- Experience with Microsoft Excel
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent degree and/or experience
- Creative problem solver who anticipates risks and opportunities and maintains a vision for continuous improvement
- CPA/MBA preferred
- Customer service oriented communication skills that allow for pleasant and beneficial interactions with all customers
- Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable
- 5+ years of recent relevant financial experience
